Welcome to our new look website.

New Line Learning Academy Farm is a working farm unit about three miles to the south of Maidstone. The Unit is currently leased from a school (New Line Learning Academy) by Oldborough Manor Farm Trust and our aim is educate young people in rural and countryside skills and sciences. We do this by running a Young Farmers Club which is a youth club for children ages between 11 - 26 who are interested in and want to learn about farming and the countryside.

The School  also uses the farm unit as a base to teach applied science, vocational courses and as an inclusion unit. Vocational courses are taught as part of the national curriculum and on average their are 15-20 classes a week are held on the unit. the inclusion unit is for young people who are not always suited to conventional methods of teaching, there work on the farm allows them to work and learn about science, farming and rural skills.

The trust currently owns and keep on site Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Donkey's, Ponies, Goats, Rabbits, Chickens, Ducks, and Geese  which are looked after and cared for by the Young Farmers.

We honestly believe that the benefits of young people working with animals are immense, it not only has a calming affect but working with them on a regular basis teaches young people discipline, commitment and gives them a great feeling of self worth.

The Farm unit is run as a trust which works in partnership with the school, but it still takes significant recourses to keep running successfully, please take the time to look at our SPONSORS PAGE and if you feel you are able to help us financially or practically do not hesitate to CONTACT US.
